Why I am so glad to have car insurance

The reason why I really love my car insurance whether or not it is required by law is quite simple. It certainly is not due to my own driving skills. No, the true reason why everyone needs car insurance are all the other road users out there.
I was on my way to work when this Hammer driver decided it was time to switch the lane when I was right next to him. It was just a big chunk of luck so that I am now sitting here writing these sentences.
What would haven happened if he’d hit me? Would I still be alive? Would my car be totaled? Would I have the money to pay for all the bills that might have arised? Although its required by law there are so many uninsured drivers out there.
