My friend Marco came over to my apartment last night to talk about the upcoming backpacking trip we were going to be taking in Southern Utah the next moth. My husband and I both work, but even with two incomes we still struggle to pay our bills. I live in a rural area where we have a lot of wildlife including wild birds of all kinds.  I may not know every kind of bird there is, but I do enjoy watching them, especially in the early morning hours just before the sun rises.  My backyard is the perfect place for duncraft bird feeders as we get a lot of wild birds there.  Every morning around 5 a.m., my husband, son and I sit out on our deck and watch the beautiful birds feed and fly around us.  It has been a rejuvenating and learning experience for all of us.

My husband and I wanted to host a party for his co-workers. They are all big football fans and there was a big game on Sunday. We didn’t want it to be a traditional party with some fried appetizers and beer. So we decided to decorate and find foods online that were healthy and tasty. The theme was obviously football and we got some lightweight disposable table ware. I like to try and save money by completing home projects by myself, and last month I needed to start getting my pond ready for warmer weather. I turned it on, and I could tell that the pump needed to be replaced. I had purchased it from a store that was no longer in business, so I went online to see where I could find small submersible pond pumps. I found a site that offered them for a very reasonable price, and I found the exact model that I wanted. I ordered it and installed it, and now the pond is ready for the sun and warmth!

For Christmas this past year my husband and kids got me an 8GB iPod to use while training for my marathon. I love this as I can have enough music on there to get me through twenty six miles easily. Unfortunately, something is wrong with the unit. The sound continuously fades in and out. I called and spoke to the manufacturer and they are sending me to an authorized iPod Repair in the next town. This will be covered under warranty as I’ve only had the player for six weeks now. I hope they can fix it quickly as I have a big week of training ahead. I would love to have my music during the runs.

I have decided to order them. I cannot wait for the package to arrive at our home. I am going to love putting this in the new house. I was shopping at Walmart, oblivious to the rest of the world when I had my credit stolen along with my wallet. I never even realized it at the time. It took me getting up to the cashier and all my groceries had been rung up when I go to get out my wallet, it’s gone. I was mortified. I rushed out of the store and never even reported it. That was a wrong move on my part.  The stores had cameras and might could have pulled up a recording of who did it. I should have filed a police report. Live and learn, I suppose.
