If only one person said this then maybe time management tips isn’t that great. Try to absorb as much as you can from the reading but highlight all the major points in your notes. I really need to do more with this even though that’s not going to cut it. However, recently you met someone and are now happily dating. The steps are as follows: Dedicate some time on Sunday to plan out your school related responsibilities; prioritize the list; look at what things are set in stone and out of your control (for example, a test 9am on Tuesday); and then set aside the proper amount of time during the week for homework, study, etc. Then, think of other things that you can do that will go above and beyond your call of duty.

I just ran across a neat article about some life skills that someone learned in college. The artcle’s title was “What Would You Tell Yourself in High School?” I know that I definitely can think of a few things that I would have liked to have known before I started college. The author’s experiences chronicled in this article mainly have to do with being responsible for oneself and not depending on others to keep track of things for you. Also, he points out that doing things that are difficult (like taking a class that is a higher level than the classes to which you are accustomed) gives you skills that will be handy later on in life.
