Mortgage Documentation is Important

One of the most important things in being able to qualify for a mortgage is having all your documentation in order. You will need to keep statements from all your checking and savings accounts, and any other investment accounts and assets, for a few months back. You will also need to be able to explain any large or unusual deposits that were made into your accounts. The bank will want to see the stubs from your paychecks and verify all of your income sources. If you do not keep these items organized, you should plan to spend a great deal of time finding all of them. If you want to get a mortgage, start collecting documents months in advance, and your loan application process won’t be nearly as stressful.
