Ever since I purchased my first Shimano Curado 200e7 I knew it was a special reel. The newest Curado reel is a real beauty, with better quality components and a sleeker look.

In addition to looking more sleek, this reel is much lighter in weight than it’s predecessor. Shimano accomplished this by shrinking the overall size of the reel and by removing unnecessary materials from the reel. For example, they drilled a series of holes in the core of the reel spool, which eliminates some weight without compromising the integrity or strength of the reel overall.

After only a few times on the water with this reel, I knew the new Curado would soon become my favorite reel to fish with.
